Casting Call plot
Amir cherishes an ambitious dream: he wants to become a successful actor. Despite his talent, he remains unnoticed, especially because his face is consistently blurred out in the only roles he gets in the TV show Meld Misdaad. Frustrated, he quits his job and reports to a major international audition in Brussels. There, in his search for recognition, Amir is confronted with the underworld due to his impatience. A world that until then he only knew from the stereotypical roles he previously played. This clearly hinders his path to fame and success.

After a turbulent youth, the Amsterdam Amir [Ahmed Bouyaghroumni] has found his calling as an actor. He plays the role of North African men in crime reconstructions for the investigation program 'Report Crime', but dreams of more.
