Sekai no Owari Kara plot

Happy (last?) Kiriya.

Compared to his earlier film, this is a rather subdued work, but there is still a lot of room for stylization. The plot itself is also pretty cool, a kind of live-action Shinkai adventure, but slightly darker than Shinkai's work.

Visually very tight, the soundtrack is not bad and the leading actress also does very well. The story remains interesting and is not too standard, which makes it fun to follow the film. It would be a shame if Kiriya really stopped, he remains a unique talent.
