"Did the devil do it?"
In 1981, teenager Arne Cheyenne Johnson brutally murdered his landlord, Alan Bono. In his defense, Johnson claimed to be possessed by an evil entity. 'The Devil on Trial' examines, through reconstructions and home videos, the first and only time this was used as a defense in an American murder trial. Johnson's case is also tied to paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, whose work was the basis for the "Conjuring" films.
