The adventurous Sofia is not exactly looking forward to a boring summer holiday with her grandmother. Her sweet aunt Lotte and the new friends she makes make the holiday fun. Until Lotte has to be admitted to hospital and old family secrets are stirred up.

Family films are generally fun and cheerful. Tailored to of course and that is no different here. The focus is therefore completely on the world of teenagers. Here one who is already old enough to go on a 'discovery', but is still too young to completely 'let go', the transition from child to adolescent, so to speak.
The grandmother has not yet fully grasped this concept when she takes Sofija to her roots in Croatia. There is some mystery (silly) about an old family feud that she is not allowed to know about, but what I remembered most was Sofija's cheerfulness and the nice, cozy vibe that the film exudes.
A bit playful, nice holiday feeling and above all a film with the heart in the right place. Not a topper, just nice.
