"City of Love. City of Fear. City of Freedom."
Minsk, August 2020. Pasha and Yulia, a young married couple, leave the house at night and find themselves in the middle of the civilian protests. The daily walk turns into a real hell, in which innocent people become victims of police brutality.

An Estonian production actually about the unrest in Belarus a few years ago. The film was also shot in Estonia, which might explain something. Lukashenko will not have been pleased with the film anyway.
A special film in the sense that it was shot in one shot. Here and there you see a trick where you might suspect that the image was stopped. But apart from that, well done.
Both the riots in the streets and the scenes with the arrested people were strong. The intimidators hammered away at it and left little to the imagination. The uprising did not lead to the fall of the regime as in neighboring Ukraine, but I think it still left an impact on the population.
