Lily Trevino always cares about the well-being of others and longs for a family. In the course of her life, both her parents abandoned her. She goes online to find her father. Bob Trevino works long hours at a construction company. He and his wife have been through a lot in recent years and Bob has effaced himself. When he receives a message online from a stranger with the same last name, a friendship develops between the two and Lily and Bob find comfort in each other.

A decent film about a young woman trying to find her father online. A compelling lead character who overcomes her insecurities through a new friendship. Barbie Ferreira also delivers a beautiful performance. However, the drama and feel-good elements are a bit overdone. Just shy of 3.5 stars.

Lily Trevino (Barbie Ferreira) is a lonely twentysomething whose father, Robert/Bob (French Stewart), shows no interest in her personal affairs. When she finds Bob Trevino's Facebook account (without a profile picture), she thinks it's another way to stay in touch with her father. However, it turns out to be another Bob Trevino (John Leguizamo), a fiftysomething who, like Lily, craves friendship, but for very different reasons. Your appreciation for this true story depends largely on Ferreira, whose neurotic, emotional performance can be disarming or irritating. Leguizamo is simply superb in a charming, serious role rarely seen before. The scene where Bob and his wife (Rachel Bay Jones) look through their son's photo album is heartbreaking.
