Hoard plot

The story takes place in the 1980s and 1990s. Maria has always had a good relationship with her mother and grows up in a warm and loving home. When she comes home from her last day of school, she encounters an unknown young man in the house. Michael will live with them for a while and, like her, appears to carry a great deal of grief.

Maria [Lily-Beau Leach] was raised by Cynthia [Hayley Squires], a woman who, among other things, struggled with collecting mania. After Cynthia's death, Michelle [Samantha Spiro] takes Maria under her wing. Ten years later, 30-year-old Michael [Joseph Quinn], who lived with Michelle for several months when he was 12, moves in with her for a while. A special bond develops between him and the young adult Maria [Saura Lightfoot-Leon], which especially brings out Maria's repressed emotions. Equally complex and bizarre psychological drama with a daring role by Lightfood-Leon, although it is almost impossible to make an emotional connection with the protagonists. The 30 minute prologue is much better than what follows.
