Island Escape plot

"Try to Survive"

On the island of Gran Manan, a mysterious accident occurs at a research camp. A general manager subsequently hires a team of mercenaries to get his daughter, a scientist who works at the camp, out of there. Upon arrival, the team soon learns that not only is the island surrounded by a wormhole that causes time to reset every three days, but it is also swarming with hideous monsters. As they learn more about the nature of time, space and the creatures on the island, the mercenaries soon realize that death may be the easiest way to escape the island.

A very messy and incredibly dull adventure film with interspersed horror elements, which director Bruce Wemple paints in the least creative way. Viewers hoping for a group of soldiers battling monsters will be disappointed, as you won't encounter much more than blackened and poorly made-up actors. Furthermore, the ambitious concept is executed in a messy and unclear manner, with several cast members barely able to cope with the sheer chaos of the production. The lack of sensationalism and the excess of weak nonsense make Island Escape a serious challenge to get through, but ultimately, that's to be expected from this kind of pulp film. Some credit goes to the creators behind the scenes who have experimented extensively with visual effects.
