She Wang Dao plot

Chen Zheng, an old military and reptile expert, travels to King Serpent Island to investigate a dangerous but endangered python. Once he arrives, he bumps into the snake catcher Jin Laosi. He wants to capture the python for sale, while Chen Zheng fights to keep the python alive. Will they both make it off the island alive?

Watched this film today on Blu-ray, which I managed to get via Amazon and also with Dutch subtitles.

This film in itself is entertaining, you have a group of people who investigate the death of 3 people by a large python and you have a large group of residents on the island itself who make money from snakes by selling them.

These 2 groups also encounter each other, causing several fights and at one point they are also locked in a container and used as bait for the large python.

Towards the end there is a lot of disagreement between the two groups, you actually see quite a lot of fights while it's about the snake, but it was an entertaining film.

The snakes weren't fake and looked pretty good!

You just have to look past the Chinese nonsense and the shouting.

This only becomes really exciting at the end when the confrontation with the great Python...
