This somewhat cheap horror thriller from director Dan Zachary relies on an interesting theme, but gets bogged down in standard work early on. The film does bring in relatively good actors to color things, of whom Brendan Fletcher (despite his thankless supporting role) stands out. Only the leading actor acts like a wet newspaper, with completely unbelievable emotions and zero flair. The event only really comes alive once the more active scenes are revealed, because the film is decorated quite nicely and even has some brutal murders for some extra spice to the meat. A number of twists towards the end are quite lame, but the makers have at least made an attempt to go further in terms of content than similar genre works. It mainly misses opportunities with the development of the concept, which should have been much rawer and creepier. Entertaining for once, but definitely not a high flyer.
