Conann plot
Traveling through the abyss, the dog of the underworld tells Rainer about the six lives of Conann. She was eternally put to death by her own future, through ages, myths and ages. From her childhood, as a slave to Sanja and his barbarian horde, to her rise to the pinnacle of cruelty at the gates of our world.

A WTF is in order here. A rather bizarre film that is not very accessible to the mainstream audience. I was told that Mandico has more of this to his name with "Les garçons sauvages" and "After blue". I immediately noticed that we were with an entire (or at least mainly) female cast, including the dog.
From what I could gather, Conann is about a kind of (anti)hero who, in a barbaric manner - as she has been taught - initiates a quest for revenge for the sake of her slain mother. Conann takes on various characters across time and space. She is chased by a dog named Rainer (Fassbender?) who takes pictures of everything.
This also mainly black and white film with flashes of color here and there is particularly stylish and atmospheric. The plot is not so straight forward. All quite abstract and probably very metaphorical. But you can enjoy, for example, a cannibalistic buffet and women vomiting blood. Even that is quite new to me.
