"Racing's untold tragedy."
Forty years after the infamous and tragic Formula 1 season of 1982, the families of Canadian icon Gilles Villeneuve and French superstar Didier Pironi come together for the first time to reveal one of sport's greatest untold stories. In the midst of modern racing's most dangerous era, two daring Ferrari teammates battled for the world championship, but at the San Marino Grand Prix Pironi broke an unwritten agreement by "stealing" victory from his good friend Villeneuve on the last lap. This act of "betrayal" broke a sacred bond and their relationship soon turned into a vengeful rivalry.
