Constructive film that relies throughout on the chemistry between Michael Reagan and Tedra Miller, who convincingly portray a failing relationship. Director and screenwriter Jason Miller manages to create both understanding and aversion for the characters in that respect, although the story ultimately clearly tilts in Tedra Miller's favor. In that respect, Ghosts of the Void also builds up for a very long time and leaves little room for the thriller elements, which therefore come across as somewhat lifeless and unfinished. As a viewer, you never really feel a certain degree of danger in the air and the final approach is not strong enough to justify such a long run-up, but Miller still comes up with a number of surprising twists and conducts with neat stylization.
