The Flying Sailor plot
In 1917, two ships collided in Halifax Harbor in Canada. The result: the largest accidental explosion in history. Among the many tragic stories of the disaster is that of a sailor who, blown away from the docks, flew a distance of two kilometers before landing naked and unharmed.

Strange to say for a short film, but rather long-winded and drawn out. Well yes, the man floats around in the universe after the big bang explosion of the two ships. I see the humor in it. But I still lightly assume that there were better Oscar entries than this.
Not bad, but certainly not exceptional either. Nice to have seen.
