"Love who you want. It's good foreign policy."
The story focuses on Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the President of the United States and his rivalry with the young Prince of Wales, Henry. After causing a major stir at the Prince's older brother's wedding, the two are forced to avoid a national incident by surpassing their non-existent friendship with a goodwill visit to the UK. Their rivalry soon turns into a forced friendship and then blossoms into something more.

This is a nice romantic movie. All very cliché, slick, sweet, but that is part of this genre.

A sappy rom-com about the impossible love between an English prince and the son of the President of the United States.
The beginning of the film contains many clichés and is somewhat predictable. Later, the plot starts to develop somewhat in a more serious direction. The actors are pleasant to watch and their acting is reasonably believable. There are also nice roles for the (grand)parents of both young men. Varied scenes in different locations. Kissing and love scenes are measured and filmed with respect. It is not entirely realistic: the stiff British royal family, homosexuality, and Democrats gaining a majority in the state of Texas. But nevertheless, a fun and reasonably entertaining film to watch.
