"When is it too late to turn back?"
After a robbery, the driver of a getaway car receives an assignment from his ruthless crime boss. He must drive an unsuspecting gang member to an ambush. There the young man will be executed. During the long drive, the driver fights his conscience, knowing that he is leading the other man to his doom.

Mediocre thriller. The story is not special but it does have a nice twist. The effect is mediocre. The film starts off okay but quickly becomes boring. The tough middle section is occasionally alternated with some forced action scenes. Forced, because it really seems that these scenes were added to break the dullness. Towards the end it gets a bit exciting with, as mentioned, quite a surprising, albeit simple, twist. The acting is otherwise good. 2.5

Not very original, but an atmospheric and well-acted crime film about a silent driver (Barry Pepper) who, after a robbery, has to transport an unsuspecting young man (Jamie Costa) to a mysterious final destination. Pepper is excellent in the understated leading role and the film is exciting, although things go a bit off the rails in the messy climax. Until then, however, the film is passable.

After a robbery gone wrong, the only surviving perpetrator [Jamie Costa] and the driver [Barry Pepper] flee. In flashbacks we discover that the target [Sam Neill] is a very dangerous man and that the men are part of a large conspiracy. The story is too thin for a running time of over 90 minutes and the dialogues are not overflowing with originality. Good camera work by Ross W. Clarkson is a bright spot.
