At the start of the summer, young people register again for the AdirondACTS theater camp in New York. It is the ideal place for emerging talent. When the founder Joan falls into a coma, the camp, in financial distress, rests on the shoulders of dimwitted Troy. Together with Amos, Rebecca-Diane and their eccentric teachers, they try to find a solution before the premiere of the performance.

The closing performance is nice. For the rest, this film about a summer camp for upcoming artists has little to offer. The enthusiasm is evident, but that is not enough to entertain you for an hour and a half.

Good film about a theater camp for children in financial need. A mockumentary in the style of Christopher Guest. The camp and the characters are convincing enough. Entertaining and the long finale is certainly fun too. A successful joint directorial debut by Molly Gordon and Nick Lieberman.

Bah. I get the creeps from these kind of overly niggly woke types. Not for me. The story is also not interesting and the humor... well, not my humor either. And mockumentary isn't my thing either. Why was I even watching this? I was hoping for some nice humor, but that was a huge disappointment.
