Kleinkinderen van de Oost plot

Daan van Citters and Joenoes Polnaija follow their grandfathers' trail in Indonesia. They both fought for the Netherlands against Indonesian independence: Daan's grandfather as a volunteer, Joenoes's as a Moluccan soldier. Their penetrating journey forces them to ask themselves difficult questions: about guilt, shame and transgenerational trauma.
