Crazy Cage is its full glory. Furthermore, the film has a fairly predictable story and Kinnaman does not convince. Crazy Cage saves the movie from failing.

Fairly weak film, although Kinnaman and Cage offer great acting, the script is just too weak to be really good. The location is also boring especially with the car. Then of course you are very limited in movements. Everything then comes from gesticulating hands and facial expressions. The dinner makes it a little bit better and there are also more options that the movie can go on. In that respect it ends better than it started, but it remains an average revenge film.

mwa.

It's nice that Cage still continued with these kinds of roles. The more eccentric figures clearly suit him better and he seems to feel very comfortable in them. As a result, these types of characters have given his career a boost, allowing films such as Sympathy for the Devil to become popular.

It should therefore be clear who the heart of the film is. Cage is back at it again, although his character really comes into its own once arrives in the diner. Kinnaman seemed to appreciate his role a little less. It is therefore quite a boring figure and Kinnaman does not seem to feel comfortable at all. Clearly an actor for the tougher roles, although they are not exactly special either.

What is mainly missing in this film is suspense. It starts relatively quickly and there is hardly any introduction, but the situation between Cage and Kinnaman does not create any tension at all. Fortunately it is entertaining, but as a viewer you never really get into it. The somewhat distant direction doesn't help either. The choice to keep things mostly quiet (a barely moving camera and barely a soundtrack with the aim of probably "realism") is deadly. Then rather use the loud music sauce.

The outcome of the story is a bit disappointing, but the path to it is quite entertaining. Director Adler should not forget to thank Cage, who helps the film move forward a considerable amount. I can regularly laugh at his behavior again, I hope he continues with it. For Adler and Kinnaman, there needs to be improvement, or more patience with choosing projects/roles.

This film is bonkers, Nicholas Cage is in rare maniacal form with his performance.

Sociopaths are my least favorite persons I share the planet with, and I've found the performance here to fire me up beyond reasons, bravo Mr. Cage.

The brutal madness is inspired and quite extraordinary, and it's worthy of a watch to anyone who can except the viciousness of t the film. This is a story inspired by what can only be unending pain, and I felt it so deep as a viewer that I am grateful for this experience.
