The last short film in the trilogy set around the Kasosan shrine in Tochigi prefecture. The film seems to be somewhat inspired by the classic Seppuku, if only because of the opening credits, where we see a shot of samurai armor, just like Seppuku.

As in The Day of Destruction, the predecessor in the trilogy, this is about an epidemic, which seems to be inspired by Covid, for which an outsider is blamed. The outsider must therefore commit seppuku, but not before he gives a diatribe against those in power, which of course also reminds of the film Seppuku. The plot is minimal, but what more coherent than in The Day of Destruction.

The soundtrack is a combination of the usual Toyoda punk music and the "edopunk" of the band Seppuku Pistols. While the Wolf's Calling soundtrack works a bit better in the end, this segment is ultimately the strongest for me because of its more coherent plot. 4*.
