A clear improvement on the previous cgi movie with better dialogues, action and with all Resident Evil protagonists together. As a fan, it gave me goosebumps. Nice to see the interaction between Leon and Jill that were never seen together in the game.

Must for Resident Evil fans.

22 years after the first fully computer-made feature film (Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within), very little progress has been made, as evidenced by this weak sequel to the franchise that no longer deserved it. see daylight. A former SWAT commander [Daman Mills] takes revenge on the government for forcing him to shoot civilians and a colleague to kill Umbrella Corp employees. to save the day after the outbreak of the T-virus in 2015. A standard group of heroes (including the standard one-liners) must come to the rescue. The story is still okay, but the characters are just as soulless as they were in 2001. As if you are watching a cutscene from a game without gameplay.

The previous film seemed to understand that the content was completely nonsensical and therefore relied mainly on the many action moments, but director Eiichirô Hasumi found the story more interesting. It results in a whole that reaches the level of the first animated film and that is certainly not high. The characters and the accompanying voice cast are anything but convincing and scaling back the location turned out to be a catastrophic choice. As a viewer you are constantly waiting for the bombastic finale, but it does not match the final phases presented in the previous parts. In all respects it is more uninteresting, more annoying and more tiring to get through, but on a creative level there is still something to be gained from it. It would be better if the makers put this animation thing on hold from now on, because I can't imagine these types of films attracting much of an audience anymore.
