The definitive rock documentary. Sex, drugs, rock 'n roll - it's all there. Okay, that's a bit lame and not entirely fair. The now very successful unpretentious duo may be a bit dull and bourgeois; the music appeals to entire tribes and both sympathetic musicians are simply good at what they do. The documentary is also quite entertaining and nicely shows the definitive breakthrough to a wider audience.

Portrait of the successful musical duo Suzan & Freek begins during a well-deserved holiday in Santa Barbara, the conclusion of a period in which Suzan & Freek quickly grew into one of the most popular and successful musical acts in the Netherlands, culminating in a performance in a sold-out Ziggo Dome. A nice look behind the scenes for the fans, but apart from some complaints about the crowds and concerns about Suzan's voice, there is no drama whatsoever. They are captivating on stage, but Suzan & Freek turn out to be downright decent and boring in front of the camera. That is certainly good for them and can perhaps even be characterized as 'Typical Twents', but it does little good for this documentary.
