Violet Evergarden: Recollections plot
Violet Evergarden is an orphan who was taken in by the state and has always been treated as a weapon. She was seen by most as just a tool, and the only person who ever showed her kindness is her immediate superior, Major Gilbert. However, in the last days of the war, they are both wounded in a battle. When Violet comes to, she is in a hospital; the war is over and the Major is nowhere to be seen... Violet is taken in by a fellow vet and must now adjust to a new life as she searches for the meaning of Major Gilbert's last words. An ex-child soldier with emotional scars, Violet transforms into a letter writer.
