"Do you remember the dead cats and birds we'd find in the field in the summer?"
After a failed suicide attempt, Damir is admitted. The relationship with his brother Bruno and their mother can be called problematic. Whether Damir has depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia is left open. What immediately becomes clear is the harsh treatment he receives from the police and doctors.

The film is beautifully (artistically) shot, there is strong acting by the director himself and the hectic start is fascinating. That could have resulted in a very good film, were it not for the fact that from the moment the psychotic brother of the protagonist is admitted to hospital, the film collapses: nothing interesting happens anymore and the kidnapping of the brother from the hospital is so stupid and incomprehensible (the brother is a danger to himself and others because he was clearly as crazy as a door and was given what he needed in the hospital to at least stay alive, namely medicines and research) that this plot twist made the film what it was for me ruined it because I stopped following it in that sense and the movie became boring and vague (I understand that the reason for the kidnapping and the movie is that the care is carefree because cold and bureaucratic but caregivers are not family and family are not caregivers ). The ending is again spectacular, but the film as a whole suffers from a lack of a good story: as is usually the case, the autobiography (reality) does not provide a sufficiently interesting story for a drama film. Hopefully the director will get a good story after this debut because he clearly has a lot to offer.

In the intriguing opening we see from a distance some children playing near an apartment complex. Just as they leave the picture, Bruno [Juraj Lerotic] comes running like a man possessed. He walks into a porch and we hear him kick in the door. What is going on? He tries to prevent his brother Damir [Goran Markovic], who abruptly disconnected the call during a telephone conversation, from attempting suicide. He arrives too late for that, but Bruno manages to get his brother into the hospital alive. To prevent a recurrence, Bruno and Damir leave Zagreb and visit their mother [Snjezana Sinovcic]. But that doesn't mean Damir's suicidal thoughts disappear. Largely filmed with static cameras, often at a great distance from the characters. In this way, Lerotic also keeps viewers at a distance. Moreover, this mainly consists of talking people, without camerawork, without creativity and without emotional involvement.
