Rapidly aging is putting great pressure on the health care system, which has been privatized into a capitalist revenue model. Due to a prolonged period of austerity, the Finnish healthcare system has become so eroded that healthcare workers do not feel heard, respected or taken seriously. This remarkable documentary does not consist of interviews, but of images from daily practice that speak for themselves. Between the fragments we see healthcare workers, lined up, in their desolate working environment, visibly frustrated and tired, performing fragments from exchanges of letters by colleagues in beautiful arrangements like a Greek choir. The message comes through loud and clear in this tragedy-structured documentary about the consequences of a society in which caring for the elderly is not a priority.
