Returning home from a secret mission, Private Greg Rourke is awakened in his apartment to the sound of explosions and sirens. The outside world seems to have collapsed. The television, the internet and his telephone do not receive any signals. The only signs of life are the infernal creatures that now lurk outside his door. Staying inside seems to be the only way to stay safe. But as the isolation starts to take its toll, Greg begins to wonder if the real danger is outside or inside.

Project Legion is, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the par excellence of horrible movies. I can say, with a clear conscience, the makers of this movie should be unemployed and homeless.

Project Legion is a film that wants to move everywhere and nowhere in a relatively short running time of only 90 minutes. I don't often see a film that takes so much hay on its fork, but fortunately that makes watching a bit smoother. Many people seem to know Cerrone, who plays the main role, from somewhere. I especially thought of a balder Tom Hardy when I looked at the poster. Director Kawas makes the film a real mess, but a mess that sometimes looks good. It won't be as spectacular as the trailer would have you believe, but it will be a film that never stands still for too long and genuinely does its best to create something unique. Will it succeed with flying colours? Certainly not. Not all ideas work and the acting is mediocre. Also found the threat not very creative, but luckily it was not a long wait. Despite the serious tone, the film never feels too heavy, and I swallow that more easily than a shorter film that does.
