"Don't run. Don't scream. Don't bleed."
Harry pulls out all the stops to protect his younger sister Lily in a world destroyed by a deadly virus outbreak. They are stranded in the countryside and desperate for shelter with their father. The brother and sister are determined to survive their journey while avoiding the infected population, thirsty for blood, and the greater threat of other survivors.

Unreasonably bad. A film that leans on the concept where a deadly disease has broken out and a few survivors have to sort it out together. I think Worsey realized early on that it wouldn't work out with the horror of the film and therefore decided to focus more on the heavier, dramatic tone of the film. The result is an incomprehensibly exhausting film, one that can hardly make a professional footnote anywhere. The acting is far below average, but the somewhat simple direction also manages to use too little potential. Throw in a half-baked mix between various horror concepts and camera work that I could have copied myself on a free afternoon, and you have Among the Living. I will never be able to understand that as a director you can be satisfied with these kinds of projects. You would break through and then be reminded that you made this as a principle.
