Mayonaka Otome Sensô plot
I am going to study at the University of Tokyo. He is lonely, has no friends and lacks purpose in life. I also work hard to pay for his studies. He eventually becomes fascinated by two people he meets through one of the student clubs: the girl Senpai and the boy Black Suit who plays vandals on campus. Together they forge the 'Midnight Maiden War' plan to destroy Tokyo.

Special,
Just like Sleeping Beauty, a very slick film. And although the film is a lot less colorful than his debut film, you can still see the eye for detail. For example, the shots are certainly not colorless, and it is mainly red and black that come back here. Lighting is also very nice here and anyway he has mastered this Tetsuya Nakashima-like style quite well it seems.
However, this is a very different kind of movie than Sleeping Beauty (and also Chiwawa-Chan). With the other 2, the pace is really high with hyper stylization, editing, and color bombast. Here the pace is a lot slower, it's thematic, and a bit more subdued drama. Also directly the negatives of the film, because as so often I could not really appreciate the rebellious theme. Scenes that were a bit more romantic I could immediately relate to.
Again visually a nice video, so hopefully it will continue for a while (Ken is only 31 after all!).
