Portugal's Mountains of Wonder plot

Trás-os-Montes is a mountainous region in the northeast of Portugal. In the corner of the country are two relatively small mountains that nevertheless preserve a vast and rich natural heritage. Local writer Miguel Torga nicknamed the region 'The Wonderful Kingdom' for its mind-boggling flora and fauna and natural landscapes. This documentary portrays several of the region's surprising riches, such as geological events, nesting birds of prey and the underwater world of the rivers created by the falls.
