Pretty Red Dress plot

When Travis is released from prison, a lot has changed in his life. While his girlfriend Candice is auditioning for a musical about Tina Turner, their daughter Kenisha struggles at school and their relationship is tense. Travis decides to buy Candice's dream dress which eventually creates more problems within the family.

Shortly after his release from prison, Travis [Natey Jones] takes a job at his older brother's [Rolan Bell] restaurant to buy the pretty little red dress of the title for his wife Candice [Alexandra Burke] who is auditioning for the role of Tina Turner in a large-scale musical. He is tempted to wear the dress himself, and gets his daughter Kenisha [Temilola Olatunbosun] in a difficult position as he tries to hide his secret. The characters and their relationships are well-developed and the acting (particularly Jones's) is top-notch, but Edward's cinematography leaves much to be desired.
