Halloween Hero plot

A retired police officer loses his wife to a violent assault. As he tries to live with the heartbreaking loss, he must deal with a community plagued by crime. He contemplates suicide when he meets a poor young child who comes to his door on Halloween for "trick or treat". This will be an evening that will change both their lives forever.

At times, the incompetence of this film is truly unbelievable, bordering on hilarious. Director Ashley Hays Wright delivers a family project with a heavy undertone and a Christian slant, but what ultimately stands out is that there was still a lot to learn technically. Several of the missteps in Halloween Hero are already inexplicable, but when Cadence Wright's grandmother was dubbed by a grown man, I really had to check if I wasn't dozing off and dreaming the sequel. Daughter Wright and David Owen Wright do their best to make the most of their roles and deserve an extra half-credit for their efforts, but this empty-headed, amateurish production is questionable on almost every front.
