Nice movie. Line Renaud plays 92-year-old Madeleine. I thought: She can't really be that old, she looks so good for someone that age, she turns out to be even older in real life! She will be 95 this year. Wow.

It's nice to see how she and the taxi driver, who could be her grandson in terms of age and doesn't feel like talking at all, still come together. Madeleine's life story comes along, and it is tragic. The ending may be predictable, but that's not so bad in itself. Highly recommended!

A strong movie. Two actors play the stars of heaven. Good camera work, the beautiful locations in Paris are well used and the character development is smooth and believable. Wonderful to see how the 95-year-old Line Renaud can play so powerfully at her age. I hope that I am still as lively and 'young' at my age. Dany Boon and the other actors also play strong and convinced. A film in which you see how you can build a bond for life in the space of a few hours. Madeleine's life story is also fascinating. You can call it a slow movie, but it never gets boring. A bit in the style of the Oscar winning Green Book (Film, 2018). I don't know if this film will go home with an Oscar, but as far as I'm concerned, Line Renaud can take home the statue for best actress. Strong movie. 4 stars.

Charles [Dany Boon], a gruff, 46-year-old taxi driver in financial distress, accepts a ride from well-to-do, 92-year-old Madeleine [Line Renaud] from Bry-Sur-Marne to the other side of Paris. For some reason she opens up about her love life during WWII and begins to question and patronize Charles. Sentimental dragon certainly doesn't like the silly, but extremely predictable scenario that is full of sometimes laughable melodramatic clichés. Carion's static, unimaginative directing doesn't help either. At least Renaud and Boon do what they can and have a nice chemistry, but you have to be a very romantic soul to fully enjoy this.
