A decent B-movie, but one that seems to understand the essence of entertainment. V for Vengeance is therefore a production that seems to know that the content is nonsensical and therefore quickly comes off the brakes. It is advantageous that Jocelyn Hudson's acting can be called excellent and she manages to get the most out of her limited material. The supporting roles are more varied, but not exactly disturbing. Only Pauline Dyer acts as a newspaper, but luckily she gets little screen time. The constant violence, clumsy dialogue and constant bombast provide touching entertainment and a high pace, but after a while the film drowns in its own sentiment. It's all so wrong and stupid that it's actually extremely easy to get through, but it doesn't win many points either in terms of content or visual content. I originally wanted to rate it lower, but I'm awarding an extra half point to the leading actress.

Vampires wielding silver bullets and silver knives, spikes made of special wood, and invisible in mirrors. Okay, the whole daylight and garlic thing is forgotten for now, but on the other hand, the vampires (male and female) are wearing an abundance of tight leather clothing, partially on and partially off. And while the male vampires are too slimy and cheesy for words, the females get away with it, and thankfully, they get almost all the screen time.

A vampire film shouldn't be too serious, and Halihan understands that perfectly. Respect for the genre is also very important, and besides the aforementioned silver or wooden objects, she also understands what it's all about. Very well done, despite the obvious limitations, and despite that, it's a truly enjoyable film—with a little more than just those leather pants, although perhaps that's actually the main point.
