Family Dinner plot
Fifteen-year-old Simi spends the Easter weekend with her aunt Claudia. The nutritionist can help her niece with her overweight. Once there, Simi's cousin Philipp turns out to be remarkably hostile to her, unlike his father. In the meantime, Simi has to follow the dietary restrictions very strictly.

Small, but nice video from Austria.
I really liked this first feature film by Peter Hengl. The simple and reasonably predictable story did fascinate me over the full length because of Hengls' performance.
Solidly written, stylish camera work and a strong cast, in which Nina Katlein stands out in particular. With her first film role (and leading role), she knows how to hold her own next to two very experienced actors. 7/10*

I like a slow burner every now and then, but this went over my head. Fell asleep four times and had to start again. Ultimately having to hit me in the face with a wet rag to keep my attention. And for what ultimately? The denouement was weaker than the chilli at boarding school. Nice song at the end credits, but that's about it.
