Something terrible happens: An important slime ingredient is running out, making slime making impossible for the entire world. Indy goes in search of the origin of this slimy ingredient. She travels the world with her old and new slime friends and they are faced with a slimy mystery. Can Indy manage to get the slime back?

Not very good. Part 2 was already a lot worse, but this part is even worse. Bibi is a nice girl, and quite believable in her role too. While the first parts sometimes had a bit of "humor for older viewers," that was nowhere to be found here. Fortunately, this film *does* feature Geza again, who occasionally manages to put a faint smile on your face. And that's about it as far as positive points are concerned. God, I almost started missing Brechtje.
This film is just as predictable as any season of an average MTV series, with equally predictable and stereotypical characters. It really makes absolutely no sense anymore. Now you might be thinking, Eline, what do you expect from a film like this? Well, sorry, actually a bit more. This was all unbelievable, cobbled-together junk that they made into one movie. Yolanthe as "mother" (you can't call her that when she hasn't really been on screen for the past 10 years, but anyway) really wasn't necessary; they should have just had Vincent appear as the brother again. But anyway, if he turned down this film, I do understand that choice.
Little effort has been made so far to make the various characters even remotely likeable, and a film like this really needs that.
Dad? Boring whiny mustache.
Stepbrother Benji? Suddenly a genuinely sweet—Anandi Jones in the making—big brother type, get lost.
New BFF? No one can like this kid, sorry is definitely not going to work out.
Mama Yolanthe? Yes............ pretty, but cardboard. Next.
That wise chief kid from that creepy Slime Cult? Seriously? Brrrrrr.
Fortunately, my 7-year-old thought it was a decent movie; she thinks slime is fun, and even after movie 3, her mother still says that stuff isn't coming into the house, but just as Bibi really, truly should be done with slime by now, it is time to stop with these movies.

When Indy's mother [Yolanthe Cabau] announces that Indy [Bibi Speek] must help solve the global slime crisis, Indy leaves for South America with her new friend Dounia [Zafanya Kersten]. Indy does not know that Dounia is an accomplice of Indy's old arch-enemy Dominicus Duff [Géza Weisz]. He has convinced Indy's father Joost [Ferdi Stofmeel] of his good intentions. With Indy's stepbrother Benji [Matheu Hinzen] as pilot, Joost and Dominicus travel after the children. Due to a limited budget, this never convinces as an adventure film, but Smits and co-screenwriter Maarten van den Broek at least tried something different. The return of Weisz is a plus, even though the story is very far-fetched this time around. And where has Indy's brother gone?
