Toscana plot
Chef Theo aims with his great ambitions for the difficult to reach third Michelin star. On the big night when he has to serve for a promising potential investor, Theo learns that his father, who was never there for him, is dead. The otherwise imperturbable Theo loses his temper and the evening ends disastrously. When he discovers that he has inherited an Italian castle in Tuscany from his father, Theo is forced to go there and put things in order. There Theo gains all kinds of experiences, including through the woman Sophia he meets. It forces him to confront the side of life that he has neglected until now.

A movie to enjoy with your wife. Beautiful images of Tuscany and apparently delicious food. A plus is that three languages are spoken, namely Danish, Italian and English. A light-hearted film with a happy ending to the full satisfaction of my wife

Film for lovers of chic and delicious food. The romance suffers because it barely gets off the ground. Overall, it's a nice little piece. Beautiful shots of the surroundings, but that is not so difficult in Tuscany.

Superficial drama with a touch of romance. Theo is a Danish star chef who inherits a castle / restaurant from his deceased father with whom he has no connection. He travels to the castle with a view to selling and gets to know Sophia. Basic acting performances but an attractive decor, being Tuscany and delicious Italian food. Because Theo is not feeling well, everything has a depressed atmosphere. But what I love is precisely that undertone combined with the beautiful Tuscany and the tasty preparation of food. It lifts the film up a notch above the standard Hallmark. The difference between the Italian castle with a soul and the performance drive of a star restaurant is brought out very clearly here and makes a person think: should you pursue society's ideals through ambition and associated stress or should you chase your dreams in something where you your heart can lose to… 3,5*
