"Never fear the dangers you can't see."
Blind Royce crosses a lake by boat to return to his family. He is stranded when the captain of the boat suddenly becomes ill. To find help, Royce enlists the brave Alaskan malamute Chinook to serve as his guide dog as they navigate the wilderness. Chinook must protect Royce from treacherous rapids, sharp rocks and ferocious mountain lions in their long quest for survival. Meanwhile, Royce's kids start their own rescue mission.
