Stasi, a State against Its People plot
Numerous secret documents were shredded in the Federal Republic of Germany. A reconstruction of the documents offers a unique look at the East German dictatorship. Many documents and photos remain of the Stasi, the state police of the GDR, but above all 16,000 bags full of secret documents that were hastily shredded when the Berlin Wall fell. Thanks to meticulous technological work, these documents have been restored and little by little they reveal the secrets of the East German dictatorship: the financing of terrorist acts in the GDR, but also, and above all, stories of men and women who were spied on.
