The Man from Rome plot
A computer hacker sends an urgent, anonymous message to the Pope. This concerns a community that is startled by a series of murders in a church in Seville. The Rev. Lorenzo Quart is sent out to find out the truth. Arriving in Seville, he meets some unsavory figures with their own complex and distinct conflicts.

I'm a little surprised at the bad reviews. I quite liked this one, especially because of the setting and atmosphere; occasionally even some very nice pictures. Not a spectacular story, but well put together. The beginning was a bit unclear but that disappeared as the film progressed. A virtually unknown cast that did a reasonable job and in any case created a nice ending.

Failed thriller (because there was too little suspense) about corruption and the involvement of the Catholic Church in a prestigious new construction project at the expense of a monumental church building. Despite the numerous intrigues, the film barely managed to captivate me. Nothing more than a nice pastime.
