Maalbeek plot

On March 22, 2016, just after 9 a.m., a suicide bomber blows himself up in the middle car of a metro that has just departed from Maelbeek station in Brussels. Behind him is a young woman. She is seriously injured and wakes up from a coma after three months. She doesn't remember anything, her memory contains a black hole and it feels like it didn't happen to her but someone else. The void in her memory becomes like missing the puzzle piece she needs to get her life back on track. The short film Maalbeek follows her in her search for tangible proof of her presence in the metro on that Tuesday morning.
