Meh.

A movie with "Bitch Ass" as the title is of course immediately noticeable. Of course this film did not become a success, but such a title always drives people to the film. For Posley there is immediately the pressure that it must also be a good film. Fortunately, he succeeds nicely and an entertaining end result is still achieved, but not without shortcomings.

In terms of assembly, some nice things are still being done. Basically, it's a horror movie that starts with a serious subject and uses that as the basis for the premise. That fact is a game day, something I didn't immediately expect. Fortunately, Posley is coming out with it. He sometimes directs quite smoothly and the film never feels very amateurish. In addition, as far as I'm concerned, the film is not entirely predictable, but after a while you can draw out the finale. Fortunately, that doesn't matter much for the middle part of the film.

The villain is problematic. Laleye is up against the ridiculous. I understand that he must still have a human side, but just putting a black mask on him is too easy. A threat never gets rid of him, so the film lacks tension. The games themselves are also not very original and the interpretation of the logic (I can judge that in a film that hardly has any comedy) is also sloppy.

Nice that Todd can show up for a while, but I'm starting to get the idea that every novice filmmaker can reach him for a cameo. In any case, Bitch Ass has become quite a windfall. Sometimes quite fun, here and there also wrong and rude enough, but when it really comes to tension, atmosphere or bloodshed it disappoints. Nevertheless, I had an entertaining afternoon with the film.
