Riverdance: The Animated Adventure plot
The orphan Keegan is raised by his grandparents in Ireland. He enjoys the time he spends with his grandfather. He manages the local lighthouse and lights the rivers at night to avert the pure evil of a hunter. He is looking for a way to return and collect the magical antlers of a ghost deer. However, Keegan does not believe in such nonsense and is heartbroken when his grandfather dies, leaving him the keeper of the lighthouse. When Keegan doesn't turn on the light on his first shift, the fighter begins his mission. Together with his best friend Moya, Keegan must visit the magical land where the ghost deer live and stop the hunter.

After the death of his grandfather [Pierce Brosnan], Keegan [Sam Hardy] is devastated. And this just when it is now his duty to protect the village from 'The Huntsman' [Brendan Gleeson]. Believe it or not, he can only be stopped by Michael Flatley's version of Irish dance. Keegan gets help from a Spanish-Irish girl [Hannah Herman] and (seriously!) dancing stags in this attempt to milk what remains of Riverdance's popularity to the bone. And that dance is far less impressive in animated form. Aside from the finale, the animation is nothing to write home about. The voice acting is just as uninspired as the script.
