Kind Hearts plot

Billie and Lucas are a young Brussels couple starting their studies at university and facing a year full of changes. Their ideas about the future, doubts about relationships and expectations of adult life form the basis for conversations with friends and each other. Their (first) love is both formative and insecure.

Brussels teenagers Billie and Lukas have been a couple for almost three years when Billie starts to doubt the relationship. This supposed documentary follows the couple during that difficult period and shows the choice they make. Billie vents to best friend Romane, Lukas finds distraction in the electronic music he makes for singer Charlotte AKA Meyy. It is full of authentic dialogues that remind many of their first love, but the presence of cameras during these intimate conversations feels inappropriate or contrived. An interesting experiment, but not entirely successful.
