Immigrant Aisha is undocumented, but is hired as a nanny by a wealthy Manhattan couple. Their daughter Rose gets along very well with her babysitter, while Aisha herself hopes to bring her son over from Senegal. Then she is haunted by a supernatural entity.

Good film about an immigrant from Senegal who starts working as a nanny for a couple in New York. A drama with subtle horror. Slow, but attractively portrayed. The main character comes out well (her position within the family, her new love interest and her son). Anna Diop knows how to carry the film well.

Idd predicate horror can be removed, mystery / drama fits better. Don't want to tear the film down completely, it is too well put together for that. But the story gets off to a slow start, and has some parts where attention slackens.
