The Taste of Blood plot

Nate, a former sheriff, is hot on the heels of the Whalens. The descendants of an ancient Scottish clan are on the run as they kill and eat people. They appear to be in their 90s, but are actually hundreds of years old. Nate is obsessed and has spent thirty years of his life tracking them down. He now works as a private detective and travels the country. After hearing about a strange murder in a small Canadian town, he decides to investigate.
