Hotel Coolgardie plot
Along a deserted highway between Australia's most isolated city and its largest gold mine is Coolgardie, where the arrival of new backbackers is announced as a major event every three months. These backbackers come to work in the only bar in the village, where they are received as "fresh meat" for the many lonely men. Finnish travelers Lina and Steph are forced to make a pit stop and work here for their next trip, and this documentary chronicles their experiences with the locals in a terrifying way. What should have been a relaxed side job quickly turns out to be a baptism of fire full of sexual intimidation, loneliness and culture shock.
