Yes, it is a bit of a B-movie. With an oversentimental story and a cast that doesn't get enough out of it. First and foremost Cary Elwes, who seems to have forgotten that he has to play someone other than Westley today.

On the other hand, Roché is suitably sinister, and Grammer fits into those dresses. And the locations are also quite good, although a nice action scene outside would have helped a bit. And a slightly livelier soundtrack, those violins just suck the joy of life out of you.

And the story is completely useless. Apparently the writers didn't really have in mind what the situation was like in France at the time. Or even the topography of the country - if you're on the Mediterranean, you can't really reach Lyon with a simple transmitter with a range of 50km, for example. It's quite a distance, and there are also some mountains in between.

But hey, Judd Hirsch is in it, so you have to see it. That's why.

started off bad, but as the movie progressed it got better,

especially when they were taken in by the Swiss "banker", a man unknown to the entire family.

The illegal broadcasts that dominated the life of the Jewish Jacques.

the visit of many high-ranking German officers to the banker's house makes it all in all a reasonable

movie that is still worth watching
