The fact that it has a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 5.4 on IMDB is at least strange, I found it to be quite disappointing, to put it mildly. The film really came across as very amateurish and weak, with very irritating characters. Not much in terms of horror and the humor was also completely lost. Suck

Although director Sean Nichols Lynch follows the fairly traditional vampire clichés, he tries to give them a modern twist in his own way. Fortunately, he succeeds quite well, as the relationship between Dennice Cisneros and Nico Bellamy is certainly fascinating to follow. Not very innovative by any means, but at least relatively cute. It also helps that Cisneros, despite her relatively absurd features, acts quite well. However, Lynch himself gives little substance to the atmosphere, which deprives the film of any tension. The vampires don't get much more decoration than the usual fangs and eye lenses, which means there is little creativity in that area either. Things only really go wrong towards the finale, where the lack of bloody scenes and the nonsensical implementation in terms of logic start to take their real toll. A horror film that ultimately works better as a romance film is a remarkable result, which makes this addition by Lynch to the subgenre in question anything but successful for me as a viewer.
