Nora, Bas and Milan are making a documentary for school about Johannes Duyster, the former city executioner of Antwerp. The executioner was ruthless...until his own daughter was accused of witchcraft and sent to his torture chamber. This story fascinates the three students. But soon strange incidents begin to occur.

A documentary found footage horror in Antwerp. Completely unknown to me. I also keep wondering what the purpose is of making such films without a release and where only a handful of people see or will have seen the film.

I always find Badjie a fresh appearance on television, but her acting here is lousy, unless she had to play the uncertain student, that is also possible. A film that in itself amounts to little about a school assignment on the dark history of Antwerp in the early 17th century.

The plot is slow, where the past and present would touch each other. Towards the end a Bokrijk feeling, for the Dutch among us, that is an open air museum in Belgian Limburg about old crafts and the life of the country people in the past 200 years, in the summer often with real extras and animals.
