Costa!! plot
Anna travels with her best friend Bibi to Lloret de Mar in Spain to see the famous Costa club where her mother Frida used to work as a propper. Once in Spain, the club unfortunately no longer appears to be the place to be, but a dilapidated karaoke bar. Together with her new friends, Anna does everything she can to win the Battle of the Bars and make the Costa the coolest club on the strip again. Meanwhile, the passion flares up in all directions as only the costa can. Will Anna ever find true love under the Spanish sun, like her mother?

Nice feel good movie. Don't expect a very in-depth film (not that you have to). Friendly. No more and no less. That's why it's still 2.5*.

Watched today on Blu-ray, thought it was a nice film, but compared to the old Costa of the 90s this is again a repetition of some bland humor sometimes, but not really bad either.
I liked the scenes with the ''battles of the bars'' the best of the film, otherwise a bit of the same story from the old film.
The actors did quite well, where Soy Kroon and Abbey Hoes stood out.
For the rest a pretty decent film compared to the old Costa, much less bikinis or nice bodies, I missed the real beaches, the props and the sex.
Nice to have seen once, but for a second viewing I don't know yet.

This was very bad yes. Plot, acting (really outrageous level), the whole look, the tone, those two guys who are really painfully bad and so on. It is that Hoes and Van Eer still look nice and Fernhout and Schuurman still manage to exude something of dignity, but otherwise this is an amateurish film that still looks professional due to the budget. But that says more about camera quality than film quality. 1.0*.
